our story...
At Edgewood Outdoors, we are proud wood craftsmen and outdoorsmen/women, sharing the same passion for the outdoors as you. Our goal is to share that passion by handcrafting fine wood products for your sporting and home needs, made right here in the U.S.A. These are the same products we use day in and day out on the water, in the field, and have hanging in our homes, cabins, and barns. Edgewood Outdoors is a family owned and operated company and was founded by Brian Lansing in East Syracuse, NY.
Edgewood Outdoors was created to carry on the tradition of crafting wood sporting products. In an age of plastics and disposable products that don't last, we've set out to craft wood heirloom quality products. Fish and hunt with the same style and quality hand-crafted fishing nets or duck decoys your Dad, Grandfather, or Great Grandfather used or still uses. Bring the outdoors home with wood coat racks, serving boards, coasters, or live-edge hardwood benches or bridle racks. We craft everything by hand. There isn't a machine or computer building your fishing net or fly box, just hardworking hands.
meet Brian Lansing...
When he is not busy at work in the shop, Brian, the founder of Edgewood Outdoors, is also a fully licensed fly fishing guide offering guided trips from Central New York to Cape Cod targeting anything from wild trout to striped bass. Ice fishing trips on Oneida Lake are also offered during winter. He enjoys all types of fishing, with all equipment, but fly fishing is his passion. Brian enjoys hunting, ice fishing, and hiking with his Wife, Jenny. Baseball has always been a large part of his life, as he played throughout college and still hopes to hear the Yankees call his name on draft day. Brian has a passion for the outdoors, holding a degree in geology and cares deeply about conservation efforts as he is a member of Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, and the Oneida Lake Association. Being passionate about the waterways, Brian also joined and is an advocate of the Kick Plastic campaign to cut down on plastics we use and clean plastics from our waters.
